Coliseum Wrap Up New Album

"We wrapped up the album last week with J. Robbins at the mixing board and the results are way beyond our expectations. We produced the record ourselves and recorded in Louisville with Kevin Ratterman engineering at his Funeral Home studio, which is actually the second floor of a working funeral home! Recording was an incredible experience and many of our favorite Louisville musicians came down to contribute to the record - Jason Noble, Will Oldham, Peter Searcy, Jeremy and Nick from Young Widows, Carrie Niemeyer from Second Story Man, Brigid Kaelin, eight year old Oliver Cox making his first recorded appearance, among others. We also managed a couple of appearances from pals from out of town – Alicja Trout from River City Tanlines lent some hellacious screams to a tune and J. Robbins sang backups and played guitar on a couple of tracks. While the list of guests may be extensive, ultimately the album consists of the three of us in Coliseum firing on all cylinders, working as a fully functioning power-trio. I truly feel that this is the best record I’ve ever been a part of, but you’ll be able to hear for yourselves in a few months..."

"We’re looking at a summer release date, with album title, cover art, and track listing to be announced in the coming months. North American and European tours will follow the album’s release, we’ll have one of the raddest bands in North America coming out with us too!"

Ceremony Cover Art Released

Bay Area CA's Ceremony are back with their third, most unpredictable full-length album to-date, Rohnert Park, and cover art has been unveiled for the first time. Named after a town in California that the band grew up in, Rohnert Park showcases Ceremony at their finest as they mix influences like Black Flag, Circle Jerks, Fucked Up and The Stooges to present their best material yet. Ceremony's trademark pissed off punk stomp is apparent on Rohnert Park and vocalist Ross Farrar's lyrics and delivery are as fiery as ever. Recorded this past winter in Oakland, CA with Dan Rathbun (Tragedy, From Ashes Rise), Rohnert Park is unsafe, noisy, dynamic and most importantly, impressive.

In preparation of their summer release, Ceremony will be playing a string of shows in California alongside Bane, the Circle Jerks and more, before heading to Asia with label-mates Cruel Hand. Tour dates and Rohnert Park artwork can be found below. Look for Rohnert Park in stores on June 8th from Bridge Nine Records and prepare to hear new music from 'the best current band in hardcore punk' (AMP Magazine) soon.

MyChildren MyBride Set Release Date For "Lost Boy"

Official press release:

Madison, Alabama's own Mychildren Mybride are poised to release their sophomore effort for Solid State Records on June 8th, 2010.

The new full-length, entitled Lost Boy, is the eagerly-awaited follow up to 2008's critically acclaimed Unbreakable. Unbreakable has sold an impressive 30,000+ copies in the United States alone, and has generated two music videos. Mychildren Mybride's most recently released video for "On Wings of Integrity," shot at The Waterfront Tavern in Holyoke, MA, received over 60,000 views in less than 24 hours.

The recently completed Lost Boy was recorded at Glow In The Dark Studio in Atlanta, Georgia by producer Matt Goldman (Underoath, Copeland, The Chariot). The new record recalls both the vehemence and sincerity of 2008's Unbreakable while progressing in musical maturity. "Musically it's about writing what was in our heads at the moment," guitarist Robert Bloomfield states. "We went in with the thought of 'if we are going to be playing these songs for the next 2 years on tour then we want them to be really fun for the live show.'"

"From day one," Bloomfield adds, "it was like Matt Goldman was already in our heads. He saw what we wanted and tried to help us create it. The man has the best sense of humor. The most fun I've ever had in a studio."

All Pigs Must Die

Members of Converge, The Hope Conspiracy, and Bloodhorse have apparently teamed up to record music as All Pigs Must Die (Death In June fans?). The project is comprised of Ben Koller (Converge), Kevin Baker (The Hope Conspiracy), Adam Wentworth (Bloodhorse, ex-The Red Chord), and Matt Woods (Bloodhorse). The foursome has been at Kurt Ballou's Godcity studios this month tracking material, though plans for said material have yet to be disclosed. Pictures and a video of their studio experience can be found HERE
